Coffee Lovers Fall Blog Hop - Take 5

Happy Friday all!

It has been one long week and I'm very glad I have a nice tall cup of coffee on my desk

Today is the last day for the Fall Coffee Lover's blog hop.
I have set my own record this time.
Five projects over seven days.
I guess I had a lot of creative ideas just waiting to get out after the long break.

For today's project I worked on my goal of using up some scraps.

The card base, border paper and even the globe have been floating around
my work space for a while now.

I wanted to try something a little different with the embossed background.
I rubbed the some embossing ink and added gold embossing powder.
This way the cups stand out and have a little bit of a grunge look.

I stamped and clear embossed the sentiment using plum color ink.
The sentiment came from a set I from Richard Garay that I found at Hobby Lobby.

After I cut out the sentiment I used pop dots to give some dimension to the card.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects this week.

Tomorrow is World Card Making day.
I plan on creating many more projects I hope to share in the coming week.

Thanks for stopping by
Have a wonderful weekend.

Coffee Lovers Fall Blog Hop - Take #4

Good Evening!!!
It is almost time to wrap up this fun hop

As I hear it today is National Coffee Day.  Hope you enjoyed a good cup today

For my project today I wanted to use a little humor.

I decided to give my cup a personality.

I used my nice new cup stamp from The Greeting Farm to stamp the cup.
I then added some arms and legs .

Next I stamped and colored the coffee cup and face on a separate sheet of paper.
Used the handy die to cut the image out.

I also cut 3 more cups so that I could layer them to make
the cup stand off the page and give the image dimension.

I then glued the stack onto of the previously stamped image
so that the arms and legs fall behind the cup.

I cut the brown layer and only embossed the top half.

The perk up is from the same Greeting Farm stamp set.
It is stamped and embossed in gold
I then layered the banners and Stapled them onto the background.

The arms, legs and face came from Your Next Stamp.

I have one more project to share for the Coffee Lovers Hop

Five projects will be a record for me

Coffee Lovers Fall Blog Hop - Take 3

Happy Wednesday everyone!!!

There is only a couple more days to participate in the Fall Coffee Lovers blog hop.

I hope you have made it over to see all of the great inspiration.

And if you are not inspired by coffee.... Tea and other hot drinks are an option.

For my project today I used inspiration from the STAMPlorations Challenge

For this card I stamped the image on water color paper and water colored the image.
I went back and added some more bold lines to have the image more defined.

Both the image and the sentiment if from The Greeting Farm.

I wanted to have to keep the card close to a  CAS project as possible.

I added a little color to give a sunrise effect behind the cup
and then splattered a little color around.

To me Monochrome is usually black and white
but I wanted to go out of the box a little and go with the browns.

This will be a good birthday card for a coffee loving friend.
I will be adding a coffee gift card inside so that she can enjoy a cup

Hope you have a wonderful day

Coffee Lovers Fall Blog Hop - Take 2

Hello!!

How is the weather in your town?
Let me say the last few days have NOT been fall like.
The temperature almost his 100 degrees yesterday.   UGH
But wait... that is not even a record.

I hope fall gets here soon because I am tired of the heat.
And of course I love that fall weather.
I think my coffee even taste better in the cooler months.

Maybe my project today will help bring some fall like weather to Norther California\

I'm sure every paper crafter has a pile of scraps
Every time I sit at my craft space I stare at a growing mound.
I have vowed to try to use up a bunch of that pile before the end of the year.

For today's project I incorporated some of those scraps.

My card is a very basic and simple design.

I did find this cool paper at the craft store recently fell in love with it.
and then.... cut it to make more scraps...LOL

Live, Laugh, Love...
something we all need to do more of each day.

Basically I used one of my shape die sets to cut out the background and the stitched edges,  Distressed the edges with a little black and brown inks
and found a couple scraps that I liked together.

I wanted to pull in the stitched edging from the background so I just used one of the smaller dies.

The little coffee cup and the Smile die cut is from the Greeting Farm.
They arrived in the mail just in time.

That is it for me today.

Thank you for visiting.

You brighten my day

Good Morning.

Since I've been away I wanted to find some inspiration to get my creative juices flowing and I found this wonderful inspiration on the Stamplorations blog.

I really love the fall colors against the kraft paper.

For my project I stamped the Sunflower image in black and clear embossed the ink.
I then used a combination of distress inks to get the variations of colors.
I started light and then worked in the darker shades.

My blending was not successful the first time.
This was my third attempt to get the colors right.
But that cool little butterfly came out of one of my failed attempts.

My first idea was to go with gold embossing but  I really was
not happy with the gold flowers not standing out against my distress shading.
So I ended up with going with the black.

As one of the rejected pieces was lying there in my work space,
I got this cool ides to use my butterfly punch and allow the embossing to be the veins.
Now this paper is not wasted only to be added to the growing scrap pile.

Here are a couple other butterflies I punched from the embossed image.

I've had a very creative weekend so there will be many more post this week.

Thank you for dropping by

Coffee lovers fall blog hop

Wow.... It has been a while.
I have not posted since May.
I think it has been my longest break from crafting and blogging.

I'm sure you know how life gets in the way.
Nothing major.... Just teenager, husband, work stuff

It is sort of hard to get going again.
But after sitting in my craft space for a while the creative juices started flowing.

One of my first projects was this tag I made for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I love this tea pot image and sentiment from Unity stamps.

I find making tags so much fun.

You can add dimension without worrying about the project going into the mail.

I know it is hard to see but the tea pot is popped up off the tag.

I should have take a side photo.... but I was playing taxi this afternoon.

I have more projects to share over the next couple days.

Please come back to see what I have made.
