TWAS Valentine

Happy Thursday!!

I finally packed up all the cards I made for the Caring Hearts Card drive.
Final count..... 125 cards!!!
All of them will find a home with a special child.

Since the cards will be going to children of all ages, I wanted to make something that was more focused to the things teens would like.

I have this cool set from The Alley Way.  It's called Icons.
The hearts, stars and word bubbles came from this set.

I stamped the valentine sentiment and added the hash tag with a black marker.

Thanks for coming by

Lawn Fawn Valentine

Happy Monday!!!

We are having a beautiful day here in NorCal.
The sun has broken through all of the layers of fog that we have been stuck in....
it is so nice.

However,  I do not want to rub it in too much for our East Coast Peeps.
I hear the weather is not going to be very fun the next couple of days.
Please stay warm and safe!!!

Today I am sharing with you a card I made using my Lawn Fawn stamps.
I was running out of ideas for Valentine cards.
So I went to the my friends at the Lawnscaping challenge blog for some inspiration.
They run challenges every couple of weeks.
This time the challenge is to make your own background.

I found making a background from the Lawn Fawn stamps I have a little challenging.
Everything I made seemed a little bland.  Finally I pulled out my "bake me a cake" set and started stamping with the cake embellishments.  I though the squiggly lines and the dots looked like confetti.  It was still a little plain,  so I dressed it up with some border paper.
The jar and the hearts is also a Lawn Fawn set called "summertime charm".

Smooches Valentine

Happy Saturday...

I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Today I am sharing a card I made using some of my new Smooches Stamps.

This set is called Chubby Chums and they are adorable images.

I also picked up the matching dies, which work wonderfully with the image.

I found it best to use the die first and then stamp the critter.

Let's Play sentiment is from the stamp set.

Now off to work on more Valentine cards for the drive.  They must be in the mail by Monday.

Snow-peep Valentine

Happy Friday!!!

I hope you are staying warm.

Today I have another Valentine card that I made for the drive to share with you.

I am love with the snow peeps from Unity and I think this one is my favorite.
When I received this image, I just new it would be an adorable for Valentine's day.

I used my Spellbinders card making border die to cut the edge of the top layer of paper.
I picked these dies up a few months back and they have quickly become some of my favorites.

Thanks for coming by.  I hope to share some more creations this weekend.

Valentine

Happy New Year all,

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season.

I started my New Years off with a cold.  Yuck!!   That is partly why I have been quite around here.

The other reason I have been neglecting my blog is that it is Valentine card making season for me.  for the last 4 years I have been making cards for Winter's Cards from the Heart  card drive.  This is a wonderful event.  Winter will be sending the cards off to Children's hospitals around the US.  If you have a moment, check out her blog.

The deadline is getting close so I have been spending every free moment working on cards.

Today, I am taking a short break to share one of the cards.

For this card I pulled out a bunch of my dies.
The Polaroid and heart die is from the Greeting farm.  I use this heart  is one of my favorites and I really put it to use this time of year.

The papers I choose is some of my favorites from Authentique Paper.

Thanks for stopping in.  I hope to be back tomorrow with another card to share.
