A masculine card

Wow... this week is almost over.  I can hardly believe that tomorrow is Friday.  Yay for the weekend.

Here I have a card I made for a masculine card challenge.

Isn't he adorable.  The stamp is from The Crafter's Companion.  and the paper is from Core'dinations.  I love this paper because it works great with sanding.

This little guy reminds me of my nephew.  Just add the Tennessee twang and there he is.

Purple Card.

Time to learn sometime more about me.  Purple is my most favorite color.

When I was 5 and my parents purchased our new home, my Mom wanted to know what color I wanted my room to be.  Purple was my answer of course.  But to my disappointment my Father refused to paint the wall purple.  To this day I never let him live that down.  Now the funny part to the story is that my parents made sure that the carpet, curtains, bedding and even the toy box was purple.  But to this crushed 5 year old..... the wall still needed to be purple.  LOL.

Guess what I have today.... a purple wall in my bedroom.  And my husband is the one who painted it for me.

Today's card definitely right at home with me.  I used the Unity sketch 04 as my inspiration.

The flower and sentiment stamp is from Unity and I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color the images.

Oh yeah.  Then I made this tag.  Surprise... It is purple.

Fabulous Florals

This post is for the Fabulous Florals Challenge at Stampendous.

I used the May Flowers clear stamp set to make my background paper.  The flower, bloom and dot is all in this neat little set.   I colored the flowers using my alcohol markers.

I really think it is cool to stamp your own paper.  Sometimes I never can find exactly what I am looking for so stamping out the background can solve that problem.

Cool Shades

Today's post will be one of many.  I have been working on many different challenges that are closing in the next couple of day.  So please forgive me if I post a lot this weekend.

This post is for the Cool Shades challenge over at Paper Smooches Sparks challenge.  This challenge is the cool shades.

I don't own any Paper Smooches stamps yet but I hope to add some to my stash soon.  Another reason I was drawn to this challenge is that the colors are patriotic and that is perfect for this weekend.  I choose to use the Stars and the Thankful sentiment from the free Digi's you can find here.

Happy Memorial Day weekend!!!

I hope everyone has some great plans for this weekend.  We will be hanging out around our house and plan to do some BBQ'n.  And of course some crafting.

Lots of good blog stuff is going on.  There is a huge blog hop for OWH.  I hope to complete some of that hop today.  It looks like there are many beautiful projects to be inspired by.

Today I made a Red/White/Blue card using a sketch from There She Goes Blog

Red, White and Blue + Ribbon

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's day.  I spent the day at Disneyland with my family.  It was a nice day but very warm.  We had lots of fun.

Today I am posting a card I made for the Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge. The challenge is red/white/blue with ribbon.

I found in my stash this great plaid ribbon.  My inspiration came from Fiskateer Ashani 4682.  She made a beautiful card by embossing the top layer of card stock.  I flipped it around and embossed the under layer.

TAWS Challenge 28

Today's card is inspired by The Alley Way Be Inspired challenge #28.

These colors sort of stumped me.  I  currently don't own any of the Alley way images so I have to resort to using the free images you can find here.  Hopefully soon I will acquire some of the cute stamps from the Alley Way.  With some layout inspiration from Fiskateer Rhonda #3316 I came up with this card.

An Inspiring site

As I was hopping for NSD I discovered a new site with challenges that can really push me outside my comfort zone.  It is called Pinspired Challenges

This blog takes inspiration from Pintrest.  You should stop in and read about the great ladies who started this blog.  This week they hopped with the Crafter's Companion.

Here is the Pintrest inspiration for this challenge

Here is my project

The blue is Washi tape but the other colors are stamped and embossed. The washi tape stamp comes from the Rubber Cafe.

Another NSD post

In the previous post I mentioned that there are challenges everywhere.

For this card I used my brand new Lawn Fawn stamps.

bake me a cake

The set is called Bake Me a Cake.  I love all of the little elements that work together to build a cake for any celebration.

It is hard to see in the photo but the icing on the cake is glittered.  I added some jewels to the center of the cake and the flowers to give is some sparkle.

I will be entering this card in the following Challneges.

Unity Challenge Sketch

Today's Card is taken from the Unity - Be inspired challenge Sketch.  Right away I thought of my Ferris wheel stamp.  I just wanted to make a fun card with that retro carnival look.   Both the Ferris Wheel and the Fun Fun Fun sentiment are from Unity.

Here is the Sketch
